He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Dear Readers and believers

I have mentioned earlier about understanding the messages as preached by Brother Branham. I have found when people disagree with one another on bible doctrines or issues, it is usually due to a simple fact of not following the basic rules of engagement. The rules are simple. How can two walk together except they be agreed. If one is holding a different opinion, and if the other is keen to assist in clarifying the misunderstanding, the best and friendly way is to talk it out and established the basic principle that any idea, doctrine or teaching must first be an absolute in the bible confirmed with at least by two or three witnesses.

When there are two opinions on the Word of God, either one (opinion) is rigth or both are wrong. Both cannot be right. So we need to go back to the Word of God. It is the standard whereby God is going to judge the quick and the dead. Yes, God's Word which is His thoughts expressed to us are worthy witnesses, much more worthy than any human being because the latter invariably deny themselves.  It is in men to twist and to turn from admitting their failures or errors and deny them unless they are caught red handed by recording the scene and words of their contentions. My objective is not to prove the wrong but to announce the right. We must take the same attitude taught by Brother Branham. He said, I don't want to be wrong and if you think I am, please show me as I am willing to be corrected. In other words, come talk to me.

You see, the Word of God is immutable, infinite and eternal and is God. John 1:1.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

When it comes to the message, there are even greater assumptions not based on the fidelity of reproducing what was said but rather what we thought we heard. Many a times, I found myself in such a situation and when I researched the database of the prophet's sermons, I found that I have misunderstood. So for this article on New Jerusalem, I heard Future Home again and again to get the right understanding and thinking process. This can be summarised by Brother Branham in the same sermon and later in Questions and Answers (editor's note: please note I have revised this diagram placing the purple portion of the "possible covenant between the Roman Catholic church and the Jews to coincide with the last 3 1/2 years of Daniel's seventy weeks).

THE.FUTURE.HOME.OF.THE.HEAVENLY.BRIDEGROOM.AND.THE.EARTHLY.BRIDE_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-5  SUNDAY_  64-0802
  392      The New City and the New Earth; the new creation; the City on the Hill, with the Throne in the top of it. [Brother Branham draws illustrations on the blackboard, for the next few paragraphs--Ed.] The Throne up here, in the top; and the dwellers, all up-and-down, on this Mountain.
393    And the wall that's around this, had twelve foundations. And each one of them had the breast stone was in Aaron, which represented the twelve tribes of Israel.
394    And, in the gates, they had four gates set just exactly like the temple in the wilderness, like the tent was in the wilderness. Notice each one, had--had the apostles, three on each side, twelve apostles. Each... And it was one hundred and forty-four cubits high. One hundred and forty-four cubits is exactly two hundred and sixteen feet, making each one of those big stones almost twenty-foot tall, the breastplate in that gate, making up that wall that was around the City.

  395      Now it, the City, doesn't rest on top of the wall, 'cause a city, fifteen hundred miles, could not do that. It's the wall here that you enter in, like the gates of the old Jerusalem. You entered through the wall, into that.
396    And each one of these, had the twelve foundations, and each one had the emerald and the different stones, which represented the twelve tribes of Israel.
397    And the apostles, each, over that big, one solid-pearl gate, set a name of an apostle. And didn't Jesus said, "You'll sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel"? Who set at the gate, to judge, when they come into the City? Oh, my! There you are. The kings of the earth entering into the City, comes before the apostolic judge, as Jesus promised. Oh, my!

  398      On this Throne, on top of it, fifteen hundred miles high, the whole world will see the Light of the world, Jesus, setting on the Throne on top of the world, top of the Church, top of Mount Zion; which is fifteen hundred miles, half the size of the United States, and raises plumb up till you can see Him the world over, fifteen hundred miles high.

  399      And all up-and-down here, will be the Redeemed. There will be the houses of pure gold. There will be avenues, and parks, and gardens. And the River of Life coming, trickling out from the Throne, and running down through little chasms and, oh, over the terraces. And the Tree of Life will be blooming in every yard; and bear Its fruits, twelve times a year, a changed fruit every month.
400    And the kings of the earth shall come into it and bring their honor. "And the leaves are for the healing of the nations," when the kings are living in peace out there. When they go out, they'll pick a tree, a leaf off like that. Like the dove come back, that the wrath of God had been settled, and brought the holly leaf into the ark. So when the king leaves, by bringing his glory into the Bride's chamber here into the City, he'll hold a leaf to his neighbor king, and, "We're in peace forevermore." Amen! Healing of the nations! "It's all settled. One time we fought for one another's bloods, brother. And we've cherished, and hollered; and shot, and burnt children, everything. But now there is peace, the healing." Not disease healing; it's all done. Healing of the nation! Amen!

  401      City with the Throne in top. Revelation 21:23, "And they need no light, for the Lamb and the Lord God is the Light thereof." See? The Lord God is that Pillar of Fire that followed the children of Israel through the wilderness. And He is ascended up on the Throne, in that perfect Kingdom's... when time... "the Kingdom that Jesus is to surrender to the Father, that God might be all, and in all." Jesus sets upon His Throne here, as our Joseph. And the King is that Light that will be on top of Mount Zion, and His holy Light will flood the entire City. Hallelujah!

  402      Fifteen hundred miles high, and fifteen hundred miles square, with the paradises of God built all through that City; streets, avenues! Read your Revelations 21, see if it isn't right. See, "They need no light there, for the Lamb is the Light." And on the Throne can be seen, setting, fifteen hundred mile.
403    It don't run right straight up like this. It slants off, like the pyramid. If it would be half of the distance, then that would be about run up like this, you see, from one city to the other... now if you'll notice, from one side of the City to the other one.

  404      I could drop a little something here if you want me to. Did you notice the little group here? It's just about that part, a circumference it covers. Georgia, California, to Saskatchewan; from Kansas, to the rock-bound coast of Maine; that's what's gathered. That's about what's represented right here, about fifteen hundred miles square.

Oh, they come from the East and West,
They come from the land afar;
To feast with our King; to dine... (What on? "Man shall not live by bread alone." By Bread, Word!)... to dine as His guests;
How blessed these pilgrims are!
In the world, I have to say, I never seen people like them.
Oh, beholding His hallowed face
Aglow with Light Divine;
Blest partakers of His grace,
As gems in His crown shall shine.
Oh, Jesus is coming soon,
Our troubles will then be o'er.
Oh, what if our Lord this moment should come?

  405      It won't be long. Everything is perfectly. Geographically, Sodom, the messengers; everything sitting just exactly right. See? What does it mean? Just think, coming to this one little tabernacle, fifteen hundred miles square, from the same dimension.
406    Why is it God so thought and cared so much about that little place of Palestine, see, when it's just a little spot? But right in there is where the temple is set. That's where the New Jerusalem will break up, right there. "Olive, Mount of Olive shall cleave, part to the right and left," sure, when she pushes up from the beneath. Not, they say, it's pushing apart like this. It's pushing up, "In that day when He stands His holy feet upon the Mountain." Notice, on His Throne, fifteen hundred miles high!

Did you notice in paragraph 404 he said he could drop a little something? What was it ? It is this. He was given by the Spirit to understand that the audience, the gathering in that particular morning hearing him in his church as he preached Future Home were people from a geographical spread of the same dimension of the New City, 12,000 furlongs which is 1500 miles square and 1500 miles high. Sure, there is a false claimant announcing his own understanding, he claimed that it could not be 1500 miles high as it would blah blah blah. You see how subtle and insiduous the creeping in of false understanding. He said Brother Branham this and Brother Branham that, and that people treated him as infallible but he secretly threw in his own thoughts totally outside of scriptures and wants his readers to treat his treaties as infallible? What else would another person try to give the impression that he knows better than the Word? How I came to this conclusion? Because the prophet wanna be did not qualify with the statement that it is just his own idea that he could be wrong. He can't do that because he believed that his words are foolproof, a self appointed prophet.  If he said he could be wrong, that would not make him a prophet according to Deut 18. It must be 100%.

So he branded others "as every word" branhamites (see how subtle the devil uses the term "mites" ), unlike the now accepted terms of Lutherans and Wesleyans as they attend the Lutheran Church or Wesley Methodist Church. This kind of scare tactics to denounce anyone as blind followers of the prophet are not quoted to apply to themselves. No, they are above the prophet. They want you to put them on a pedastal. They are in fact substituting his words with their own unscriptural thoughts and palming them off as biblical truths. Let me ask the readers again. How many preachers in a public meeting will know where their audience comes from. No one but God. Yes, God vindicates His Word through the mouthpiece according to Deut 18:19.

And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require [it] of him

Did you hear the tape Future Home? How was Brother Branham aware that in that particular meeting, coming from every parts of North America are the exact geographical spread of the 1500 square miles? Mark this, the New Jerusalem will be 1500 miles high.

Not only that, when he prayed for the sick in the discernments, each of those names called were from the very cities he mentioned. To me, that is the signature, the mark or the divine indication that the Holy Spirit is speaking through him. How could he have known the audience were from those very cities making up that same dimension. Read Luke 14:16-24  and see who was that servant that was sent at supper time. Eliezer calling out Rebekah for Isaac to produce the promised Son Israel. For God said He is the God of the living, the God of Abraham, God of Isaac and God of Jacob.

I am not really interested in false teachers with their unannointed views. I have a better meal (have not finished my seven course dinner since I started on the Seven Church Ages) with the sermons and I am eating it as diligently as possible. Taste good too.  Let us go back to what we want to do, that is to listen and learn from this great sermon how the Holy City will come down (pushes up in fact) , when, where and who are the occupants. ......

Heb 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker [is] God.

  979-Q-273    273. Brother Branham... (There's another one, different altogether.) Brother Branham, some understood you to say in your message of the "Future Home of the Bride and Groom" was to be (No, this is different.)--be fifteen hundred miles from the Tabernacle--square--seven hundred each way (In other words, the Tabernacle setting right in the middle would be seven hundred each way--be fifteen hundred miles. Oh.)--each way. Is this true? I live outside of this area; should I move into it?

No, honey, don't you do that. Look. Now, you see how easy it is for people? How many was here when I preached that message? I said that when I was measuring the New Jerusalem, that it would be fifteen hundred miles square. I said it would reach approximately from Maine to Florida, and six hundred miles west of the Mississippi; that would be fifteen hundred square miles. I said the city, to my opinion, will be setting right on the ground where prophet Abraham searched for that city, when there'll be no more sea. The Bible said there'd be no more sea, which about three-fourths of the earth is in water. And there'll be no more sea; so therefore, it won't be too big a city setting in a place like that. I believe it'll set in that little place where they fuss so much about, and God was born, there in Bethlehem. I believe it'd be right along in Palestine there, where it'll raise up out of the earth right there and be that mountain.

Editor's note: I want to highlight the second statement which was "Look, Now, you see how easy it is for people?" Now if we just read this with a cursory glance, we will not be able to understand or at least be able to know that Brother Branham did not finish answering that part following the word "people"? with that question mark.In fact, he answered the question by explaining the answer itself that the future home is to be in Palestine, right from Bethlehem as the mark of the New Jerusalem's location. Without hearing the tape or following the sermon closely, even at first hearing in a live audience as the question raised testify to this fact, that the sermon could be misunderstood thinking that he said the location of New Jerusalem to be from Jeffersonville or Branham's tabernacle. So we can see from this question we ourselves need to be careful in ascertaining that we understood before jumping to conclusions. And I maintain even today, that most of such misunderstandings about the message came about because of these presumptions. We ended up defending or arguing about these presumptions instead of listening to the message for the Truth. In other words, we have fallen into the Devil's alley of confusion and fighting to prove we have a better revelation. It behooves us to really go back to the sermons and hear for ourselves and not take a third person's "revelation" as truths  Hence the right thing to do is go back to the Word because it has to be in there. Let everything be established by the mouth of two or three witnesses.

....to be continued
